Badoo was founded back in 2006 and has strong presence in multiple countries. I’ve been a subscriber for around five years and I’m sorry to say the site and the app become less and less useful with each iteration. It’s hard to find anyone I’ve ever chatted with.

Said that, the site is mostly free and you can use most of the functionality without paying. The userbase is also huge by any standards.
